December 5 - 12

Heart of the Jungle. Soul of the Sea. Dreams in the Stars.

A 7-night yoga and sound healing retreat at Xinalani Eco Resort

Quimixto / Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

December 5–12, 2026 · 3 Michelin Keys · 2024 & 2025

Xinalani (shee-nah-lah-nee) means "seeds" in pre-Hispanic language.

We invite you to retreat and plant the seeds of your own wellbeing.

The Invitation

  • Heart of the Jungle

Join us in December 2026 for an immersive yoga and sound healing retreat at the breathtaking Xinalani Eco Resort, where lush jungle rhythms meet the vast Pacific, and nature becomes your guide back home to yourself. This is an invitation to slow down, soften, and remember what it feels like to truly listen — to your body, your breath, and the quiet wisdom within.

  • Soul of the Sea

Each day unfolds with nourishing yoga practices, meditative sound baths, and intentional space to rest, reflect, and reconnect. The ocean resonance and the hum of the jungle weave through every experience, supporting deep nervous system reset and heart-centered expansion. Between sessions, you'll enjoy soul-filling meals, ocean views, and moments of stillness that feel both grounding and expansive. We'll plant intentions at the start of the week, watch how they unfold, and return with a clearer vision of what's essential.

  • Dream in the Stars

This is more than a getaway. It's a return. A chance to unplug from the noise and tune into what's essential — held by community, nature, and sound. Come as you are. Leave feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply alive. The stars remember who you were before the noise.

This retreat is for you if…

You're craving deep rest and a real nervous system reset, not just a vacation

You love movement that feels like freedom — athletic and mindful, never punishing

You're curious about sound healing, or already know it cracks you open in the best way

You want time in nature that's wild and real — ocean, jungle, stars, the whole spectrum

You're ready to trade Wi-Fi and to-do lists for whales, dolphins, and starlit stillness

You want to come home to yourself, your body, and a community that gets it

What to expect

  • Nourishing Meals

You'll be lovingly nourished throughout the retreat with Xinalani's vibrant, chef-prepared meal plan,  fresh, locally sourced ingredients designed to support your practice and leave you feeling energized and satisfied.

  • Spa Services

For deeper restoration, you can add massages and spa services, offering space to unwind tired muscles and sink fully into relaxation.

  • Adventure and Wonder

In your free time, optional excursions invite adventure and wonder: swim alongside wild dolphins, snorkel and kayak right from our beach, take a surf lesson, or witness the magic of whale and bird watching in their natural habitat. December is one of the best times of year for wild encounters with whales and dolphins — though as always, excursions are weather and wildlife dependent. Wild things stay wild, and that's part of the magic.

Payments & Refunds

I want this to be accessible and clear for everyone, so here's how it works.

Direct Payment

To keep costs lower for everyone, payments are accepted via Zelle, Venmo, or check — this avoids third-party booking sites and credit card fees. Stripe (credit card) is available on request, but the buyer covers the processing fee. Invoices created on request.

If you register after July 31, the first payment is deposit + second payment, with a one-month grace period for the next installment (Aug 30).

After September 30, all payments must be made in full. Reach out directly if you'd like to split into two payments.

Payment Schedule

$800 non-refundable deposit due at registration

$1,000 second payment due by July 31, 2026

Remaining balance due by September 30, 2026

Refunds

If your space can be filled by another guest, you'll receive a full refund minus the deposit.

If you cancel before future payments are made, you're not obligated to pay the remainder. You'll receive a refund for what you've paid (minus the deposit) only when your spot is filled.

Refunds are issued only after payment from the replacement guest is received — no exceptions.

The closer to the retreat date you cancel, the higher the chance your spot may be sold at a discounted rate.

A few things to note

Pack light. Between the boat ride and the property's many stairs, carry-on works best. If you need more space, I suggest a carry-on expanded to checked size plus your two personal items. Remember most toiletries are provided!

Some rooms are open-air with bug nets. December is the start of the drier season — the less buggy time of year.

Reef-friendly sunscreen, please.

Excursions with animals and waves are weather and wildlife dependent. Nothing is guaranteed, and that's okay. It will be a magical week no matter what.

10 Things to Know About Xinalani

Please read all — by submitting payment you confirm you've read this section, which includes arrival/departure logistics, payment schedule, and refund policy.

Xinalani is an eco-retreat. You'll be mostly off the grid during your stay. Don't worry — it's a blessing in disguise.

  • Xinalani is accessible only by boat, and we'll arrange transportation in advance for your comfort. Please schedule flights to arrive in Puerto Vallarta before 4:00 pm and depart after 12:00 pm, or arrange a night before/after in PV to accommodate the boat schedule.

Carry-on size suitcases work best (because of the boat and the stairs on property). If you need more room, I suggest checking a carry-on (expanded for space) plus your two personal items. Remember the property covers most of your toiletries.

For a day trip to Puerto Vallarta: a 15-minute water taxi plus a 40-minute cab or hour-long bus ride. Groups can also charter the Xinalani boat to town.

  • Xinalani offers a remote island experience — relaxation at the resort plus excursions for adventure — but limited amenities like Starbucks or malls. However, a visit to Quimixto, the charming fisherman village where our staff lives, offers an authentic and warm encounter. Cobblestone streets, friendly villagers, and the occasional donkey. We actively support the community through several initiatives.

The locals take pride in their traditions and occasionally have lively nighttime celebrations. Noise-cancelling earbuds or earplugs are recommended for light sleepers.

  • Exactly 176 of them. The retreat is built on a steep hill, with 215 feet of elevation from the beach to the highest point (the Jungle Studio). Please consider this if you have had knee surgery, hip replacement, a sprained ankle, or if you hate glute workouts.

  • We recommend using your time at Xinalani to disconnect from digital life, but if you need a reliable connection, it's available in all rooms, common areas, and yoga studios.

  • We take great pride in our food. You'll be served from a menu designed for yogis and people who care about health and fitness — both healthy and delicious, including eggs, fish, seafood, and chicken, but no red meat or pork. Vegan and gluten-free options at every meal. All meals served buffet style.

  • Guests rave about our staff. Xinalani hires from the local community — many work in hospitality full-time — and they're known for their authentic kindness, strong work ethic, and willingness to go the extra mile.

  • While our rooms are comfortable, a stay at Xinalani is akin to living outdoors for a week. We minimize environmental impact through low energy consumption. The resort is dark at night, so bring a flashlight. Only selected rooms are fully enclosed — open-air rooms have a lockable door and three walls, with the terrace open to the jungle (curtains included).

You may encounter harmless wildlife. Embrace it as part of the adventure. Read the Xinalani packing list for the unique experience: https://xinalaniretreat.com/what-to-bring-to-xinalani/

  • Some things are beyond our control, and letting go of expectations is part of the practice. We're in the dry season, but weather can shift. Flights get delayed. Sometimes the ocean is rougher than expected or the waves too small to surf. That said — you'll most likely have one of the most epic stays of your life, and we learn to roll with the challenges.

  • We offer a wide range of mind-blowing excursions: jungle hikes, swimming with wild dolphins, surf lessons. Please consider the risks and make sure you can handle them. A liability release and waiver is required for most activities.

  • Staff gratuities are welcomed but not required. Cash only, please, handed to the front desk at check-out. They're distributed among the hard-working staff.
